Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. Her current role is an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN, working as an anchor of SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. She is a daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta is bilingual since age nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her land her first position as producer assistant at Univision Miami in which she was a producer of shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. The CBS affiliate located in St. Petersburg hired her in the following year as the sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated into Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley in Texas and became a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In addition, she was used on occasion as a weather and sport anchor. Later, she was anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given more responsibility. She was a reporter for the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and the NBA Postseason and the finals of FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor herself. She worked as anchor for the sports segment of Despierta America Deportes morning show. In the same capacity on the magazine program of the network Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born there on November 22 in 1985. She also has an older sibling. Her family relocated to Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. After a while, her parents separated and, in 1995 Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He died of kidney cancer in 2006. The summer of the year 2006, Antonietta took one week with her sibling in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed at the time. Antonietta had just graduated high school, however she knew her plans for what she would be doing. The campus was beautiful and provided the education she was looking for. After graduation, she went to the university with an undergraduate major in media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the managing director at WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to have self-confidence and was greatly moved by his love of journalism.
